long time

so for some reason the past few days i keep stumbling upon livejournals of a friends or something that had to do with mine... who still writes in these things?
every year there's something new: friendster, lj, myspace. i feel like a prostitute for the profile i use now on myspace but lets face it, myspace is that one thing in your day that kills time without you even having to think... we're all suckers for the great pictures, and the odd inside jokes. if you havent been close with somebody in a while you can check up on their lives without that awkward phone call asking how they are. for instance, just the other day i found a profile of an old friend from pre-k... all it took was three little clicks and there ya go. turns out she became addicted to coke and probably carries chlamydia, BUT wow... what a time saver.

what I'm really trying to say is once we leave the last internet messaging site, we're only minutes away from gluing ourselves to another. its an endless cycle, and it will always be that one time during the day that allows you melt into a world of pointless and artificial bliss.

like i said before, i'm pretty much tied down to myspace now but i still enjoy to read a couple journals every once in a while. keep writing- to all those old school lj authors.
