Got my adapter, yadda-yadda, happy fucking day. Safari, Mac's bullshit browser is just as crappy as IE. Possibly worse. Wouldn't let me post, kept saying something about bad unicode input, and UTF-8, or something. Couldn't post on DW or LJ. And I knew it was the damn browser, just knew it, so I downloaded Google Chrome, and viola!, as long as I don't try to copy/paste what I had in Safari, it lets me post.
I've been fucking around with this nonsense for almost an hour, and I'll tell you, this is exactly why I swore to never again use a Mac Seven years ago. They're high maintenance pains in the ass, and now? I own one. Yay.
And I still have yet to try and get my Mozy-saved files. I only hope they'll transfer from PC to Mac. I can't believe I let my friends talk me into this pile of work. "Meh-meh-meh, Macs are much better now than they were seven years ago, meh-meh-meh, you're just used to OS9, OS10 is much better. Meh-meh-meh, this'll kick the ass of the G3s and G4s you used to use--and it's so user friendly!"
Bullshit.
The only thing that's been user friendly is downloading GC, and so far, I'm wishing I'd just gone Compaq, again, or maybe Dell. Those have always been much easier, and friendlier than a Mac-enstein.
Hello. I'm a PC, and I don't know why I bought this fucking Mac.
