So, is everyone having a good weekend? I had so much fun camping; we had to build an extension to a pole barn(lots and lots of hammering, digging, climbing, bruising body parts, and crunching fingers), but it really wasn't that bad compared to previous years. We had to work with these sixth grade and eighth grade little boys that we had roofed houses with last year, which was surprisingly more fun than it sounds. Some of them were so cute! Absolutely adorable...this one little kid, only eleven, was talking about how he was the youngest and kind of pudgy and the kids always picked on him; All I could think was, "AWWW! That used to be ME!" And this other little boy, called Ant, was the tiniest eleven year old I had ever met. He weighed something like sixty or sixty-five pounds and had this small high pitched voice. He was walking along the 1x4's when we were building the roof, just hopping and skipping around, 10 feet up in the air - we were all freaking out. I used to be a tom boy, but watching those kids do the stupidest, darndest tricks-I don't know if I could ever hand a boy child. I'd turn grey before 30. Then there was a dance Saturday night after working all Dane, and we had so much fin dancing. From 8 until 11 we were pretty much the only girls out there really just hacing fun while dancing, and not too shy or trying to be pole dancers...it was great. And we completely adopted the little boys we worked with, dragging them out there and showing them how to dance. Some of them were classically dorky (one looked like the chef from the muppets), and we would drag them out and slow dance with them or teach them how to dance; We wanted to keep this one little boy, named Tyler, who was as cute as can be (definately going to be a future stud, but still in eighth grade). We took him out there started getting him to dance-and this kid had nerve. He started dancing like us, and he could move his hips better than most of the girls there! It was hilarious; We were dancing and hugging all of these little boys who some of the other ones picked on, and these slightly older guys were getting all jealous (our boys, of course, happily smug). I had the most fun there than I had ever had in the past years (although, we had to put our tents up in the rain this morning, which sucked). Yeah, I semi caught a cold, too, but not bad~
*BTW: "we" was Amy Hoffmeister, Kim Waller, my sister and I.
Moving on, I've decided I really, really need a job and anybody who knows where someone hires at 15 or a person who needs a babysitter, I'm their girl. I have to get some money so I can take an important trip up to Virginia over spring break, visit some places, hopefully take a 6-hour detour to NY for Sabrina, and I want to visit a good friend who's currently stationed there. Okay, the good friend is the main reason because they'll be leaving soon, but my only option is my grandparents taking my sister and I, so then I have to play up the fact that Virginia has "so many historical sights."
Oh, before I go, question to Brandon:
is the musical going to be canceled because we have no music? What exactly is the situation?
GOODBYE ALL, HAVE A SPLENDID EVENING!!!
*happy state*
