i don't think i like the new libertines album... i don't know. it could have been something magnificent and it's just not at all. it's ok, but ok isn't what you expect of them i spose. i never thought they'd bring a record out with filler on it, but a lot/some of it is- maybe it's a grower ( Read more... )

I completely agree.. I actually thought "don't be shy" was a piss take until about 30 seconds in when I realised it was just totally dire. The man who would be king used to give me shivers down my spine but it's really bland on the album, same with music when the lights go out. To be honest, I'd rather listen to all the early recordings of the songs than the finished product.

the new 'music when the lights go out' has grown on me a lot. why did they not use the original lyric for 'the man who would be king' though?
