I was going to say "Well, at least you like Philip Seymour-Hoffman and John Cusack..." but then I saw that you disliked Bill Murray, so you're back to 0 in my mind.
I won't comment on the haircut (eesh) but... the shirt? Damn.
Please, give me some examples of good movies Bill Murray was in. I want to know what the hype is about.
I like how this community tried to pass this application off as a way of getting to know new members, when it really was set up so people could judge them.
Why, Garfield, of course. I'm a Wes Anderson freak, so I loved Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums. The Life Aquatic didn't do much for me, though. What About Bob? is ALWAYS funny, and Lost In Translation makes me weepily happy. I don't know, man, those are my favorites. I haven't even seen Broken Flowers yet. :)
The best (and only) part of this community is the judgement of new members. Sometimes there is good judging, though. And helpful criticism. Obviously I didn't provide any, but I can now? Expand your musical horizons! You'll be glad you did. Also, burn that shirt. Seriously.
ok, all of you need to stop fucking bashing people for what they dont/do like. not everyone has the same taste as you, ok? also, if you like indie that doesnt mean you're restricted to only that type of music. its possible to love some indie band, but also be a fan of eminem or from first to last, or any other music which isnt indie. he likes a few indie bands, just fucking leave it at that. you like something someone doesnt like, get the hell over it.
i think we are all a bunch of seasonally affected people here, because normally everyone is very kind to new applicants.
well, if everyone can just stay open-minded, this can be a good thing. if someone has even a passing interest in indie things and he or she wishes to know more, then something's working.

Oh, you mean how what is good and what is bad is so set it stone, that it's not even a matter of opinion, it's a fact?
It's not a contradiction. It's that you agree with some things I like and disagree with others.
I had a feeling this community would be close-minded and elitist. I should have went with my gut.

and overall, i feel that your application is terrible.
i find nothing fantastically indie about it.
but nonetheless, welcome, avid indie film viewer.
