Laugh to erase the dirt on your mind

Well.
It's been quite a while. I just can't keep up with things like this. I always try for bit and then fail.... oh well.

Things have been ok. Halifax is wonderful, as always, though it's starting to get rainy again. And cold. BUT it's warmer here than other places, such as, say ontario or new york. Places that are south of here. Where it snowed. HA. I win, yet again.

That being said, it's probably about time to get out the winter coat, and the other day I was walking up Barrington, and had a 45 degree forward slanted walk going on because of the wind. Awesome.

School is pretty much the best thing ever. I have fun every day. Amazing. Thursday we had a model for ceramics, which was so cool. I really like doing figurative work in clay. Not to mention the fact that both my TA and teacher are hilarious. Neil gives the freaking weirdest assignments, and it's normal to him. Gothicizing a modern invention? Replacing the sexual organs of a flower with a random object? what? We get to throw tomorrow, which is amazing. I am so freaking sick of handbuilding cups. I HATE SLABS. god, i hate slabs.

mmmmm... and otherwise, friends are interesting. Living together has done bad things for some of them. I love my roomates, and the fact that I have a retreat sort of. Though the walk to Shirley Street is le suck, and I do it alot.

In other news, long distance relationships are still hard. ha, like that was gonna change. It's not an ideal situation for sure. and I hate hate hate sleeping alone all the time. hate. But he's coming here soonish, so that's good.

I'm rambling like no other, eh. oh well.
I have a really strong desire to write a childrens book right now.
I think I want to work with kids.
I am doing a really cool project, where we illustrate a person whose name we pick out of the phonebook.
I'm torn between Major Wayne Loveless, Ida K. Frosst, Heidi St Hilaire and Corneilius van der Rijt.
I hate HATE the tourists who follow the damn bagpiper around town and wear stupid yellow fisherman's hats and take up the entire sidewalk and then look at you when you try to wade through them like you're one of the sights. Like, "oh look dear, an art student in their natural habitat. how quaint."
I really really love rooibus.
I also really love turkey sandwiches. It's pretty much all I eat right now.
I have an extremely messy room. Quelle suprise.
I still wish I was fluent in french. Too bad NSCAD isn't in Montreal.
I think I would not have liked Concordia as much anyways.
I really really love this city.
I think someone should invent teleportation pretty soon. Life would be so much better.
I'm really scared about the state of the world.
I love the view from my apartment at night, when I can see the flames coming from the smokestack across the harbour in Dartmouth.
I've been really lonely lately, but I think things are gonna get better.
I'm feeling more optimistic today.

I'm still good at colour.
xo
