My new favorite person is Sara Bareilles! I love love love her CD especically the speical disk. Her music is very comforting and relateable.
Im getting stressed out its almost July...no job. I've had 3 interviews and now im waiting. I find out for sure tomorrow about the Godwin Hgts job. Its full time 60% General Music ekk!!!! 20% begining band and then 20% HSband/MB. In my interview today (which was my second one for that job they liked me the first time) the HS director pulled me aside and told me look, I really like you the reason your hear is because I want you to work with my High School groups, however the position is mainly General Music, id hire you now if it was just Hs/MS position but its mainly gen. music you need to do your best to convince them you can do that too. Great Im not a gen music teacher so it was hard to convince the prinipal that they should hire me. Sweet the guy thinks im qualified to teach his kids and they do have a strong program...not sweet its a gen ed position.
The other interview was at my old middle school...I have an advantage bc I went to school there and I worked both HS band camps and me and the HS director Id feed are pretty good friends....again I h ave no experience with middle school band. Great the 2 ppl that interviewed before me have experience...one I know I beat in the interview bc basically shes just horrible...no names being said but she taught a band camp with me and shes an older eastern grad. Im sure they saw that in her. The other was Julie K. Im sure she'll get the job. Shes been teaching for awhile.
I took a trip to Traverse City 2 weekends ago...it rained! I was so bumbed. my brother lives up there now so im def. going back! I LOVE it there!
I've also been doing alot of thinking lately...Im in a much different place then what I was this time last year. Thankgoodness. Thats all I have to say to that. Im glad the whole braden mess (bc thats what it was) is over. I dont talk to him and my life is just so much better! Also, im in this Im not going to get married phase. im really lookin into geting my masters in Arts Admin.Mgmt. and move to Chicago or New York. Just to get away, be a new person...I have to wait a few teach and get some money and then get my masters...but its def. looking really good to me....
