Matt is in the hospital. He's in a coma and was found in Vince's apartment. Apparently he was casting magic out of Vincent's books. Tori found Matt, made sure he got the apartment and apparently is the only one my brother has been willing to speak with. Matt came to Vince, wanting to learn to use his magical gifts, and Vince agreed.

It's weird the things you forget, but I guess it makes sense since immortality usually ensures a long lifespan. Matt's accident reminded me of what I did when I wasn't much older than Matthias. I'd begged Vin to teach me the dark arts and he refused. I snuck into his office anyway and recklessly cast some spells that nearly got me killed. Vince, Dad, and Uncle Mal were able to save me, but Dad and Vin got pretty hurt during the fight. I was unconcious for a few days and I'm pretty sure Mom had to bring me back with her magic. Makes me think maybe that bind on my powers was done then. Which would explain a lot.
Damn it, he shouldn't have agreed to teach Matt at all. Tori, Carly or I could have helped Matt if he wanted to learn his gifts. The only reason I could think of Matt going to Vin is...
