The party. It was supposed to make everything right, let everything make sense again. Allow me to keep my mind off of him. It just made me yearn for him more.
It was like god, if there is one, took a pen and permanently etched his name into my head. Every thought, every moment my mind was only for him. His wavy chocolate hair. His striking emerald eyes. His full pink lips. An undying love etched into my head, an impossible romance.
Friends, strewn around house, as if an angry tornado had made its way through. Half-filled beer still in hand. House a wreck, April was going to kill me when she came home, but I had to do it.
Me, laying atop the counter of the pirate bar. A bottle of whiskey in hand, untouched. Reminiscing over old memories of Vile and I, before everything became so muddled. He was the single thing I wanted for christmas, so much it hurt.
Two soft knocks, barely noticeable from the thundering music, awoke me from my thoughts. Scrambling off the counter, I hurried to the door. A late party guest?
"Look the party's....Vile?"
"Merry Christmas Bammie."
With that he grabbed me into a tight embrace, and slowly drew me into a kiss, beginning our impossible romance.
