Bam's POV
Enjoy?

I couldn’t believe it. My uncle, that big jackass. He left his entire fortune, his estate and everything. To me. What the hell was I supposed to with all that money? With that house? Would my father be willing to move into his dead brother’s house? I was barely eighteen years old, I wasn’t ready to leave my parent’s yet.

“Mother?” She hadn’t said a word since we’d left the lawyer’s office. We were almost home, I could see that there was a light in the window of our little house.

“What is it Bam?” She asked, her voice was low.

“You’ll come with me won’t you? At least to look at the mansion?”

“I’ll go with you Bam.” She didn’t speak to anyone the rest of the night. I had to tell Jess what happened, he was shocked as much as I was. I didn’t understand why Uncle Vincent had done it though. I mean, I was horrible to him when he came to visit us. I was always a spiteful child, which by the way, I prided myself upon. Were my parent’s in shock as well? Or were they mad at me? There were so many things running through my head I felt like it was going to explode. I was lying in my bed when I heard a knock. My father entered.

“Bam? Are you awake?” I sat up slightly and he pulled the chair out from my desk and sat beside my bed.

“What is it Father?” He sighed lightly and looked out the window. I sat there waiting for him to say something, usually I’d be making some kind of noise, but this wasn’t the time and I knew that. “Are you upset with me?”

“No. Not at all Bam. I’m surprised more than anything. I thought he was going to leave everything to charity or his favorite whore. I had no idea that he would leave everything to you. You should be thankful. You can go get an education now. You can be so much more than this.”

“I do want to go there and see how he lived. I don’t remember ever being there.” My words made him nod and he explained,

“Vincent didn’t like the family in his space. He was very private. I doubt we’ll ever even know why he left the estate to you.”

“I wish I knew. Is it alright if Ryan and Brandon come with us? I would like their input on this.”

“Whatever you want, son.” He stood and replaced the chair before blowing out the candle and leaving the room.
