....what i do everyday now....
The Alarm goes off at 4 or 5, and he gets out of bed.
Grogily he prepares for the day, showering and shaving.
I wait quietly, warm under the covers, as he dresses.
I wait quietly, snug in our bed, waiting for him to kiss me good-bye.
I wait for his arrival hom for lunch to ask him what he wants for dinner.
I hope he is home on time so we can eat together.
Sometimes they keep him late.
He's so proud to serve his country, and I'm so proud of him.
This troop has a job to do, and it's my job to take care of him.
It may go unnoticed by the people in charge.
It may not have the best pay check.
But to me, I make a difference,
And to him it makes a difference.
So to the USA it makes a difference,
And that's enough for me.
