Tonight's class was hard, but really exciting. We did fan work! Apparently Onca's been taking flamenco lately, so she decided to make tonight a fusion of flamenco and bellydance, passed out some silk fans, and taught us a bunch of interesting moves. I now know how to open a fan seductively at any point on my body. (Rock on.)
I talked to Onca about her sword dancing classes, and hopefully I'll get to enroll in her next series. I think sword dances are the sexiest of all kinds of tribal dance, so I'm really all into knowing how to do that properly.
They also have a new
dvd available of their last show, Secrets of Ashes. I'd especially like to get a copy for
you, dear. I think you'd really enjoy it. I talked for a bit to Onca about how you're getting into the dance, and have interests in the design of it. She said she'd be more than happy to send you plenty of resources if you like.
So yeah, now I have to buy a silk fan to practice with, and hopefully a sword as well. *smile*
Now for other random notes of the day-
I'm not going to be able to make those icons afterall. Not because some people would rather I didn't (although I do hold your opinion in high regard), but because I simply don't feel like it anymore. It's mostly that I'm too lazy to find a profile picture of him and then redraw it and all that, but also because I need to be amused to do good work. It's kind of old news to me now, and like all jokes about pop-culture happenings, it's gotten kind of old. Sorry.
I haven't forgotten that I need to scan that magazine, either. It's just that my scanner is being a fuckhead for some reason, and refuses to scan anything.
Oh, and I updated my MSN again. As it was taking me through my settings, it showed me my blocked/unblocked list. I never knew where that was before! Turns out, now this is funny, that Max actually -was- blocked! xD I never blocked him because I didn't even know how.
kaizer_vator_ii denies he had anything to do with it, I'm pretty sure Rei wouldn't care enough to have done it, so who actually did it remains a mystery to me. I'm not sure what the etiquette regarding that is. I really didn't block him, but he was for all intensive purposes blocked on my messenger. He accused me of all this shit, I called him a paranoid ass (because I honestly thought my messenger was just -not- working, right?), we had at it. I lost another friend in the course of the drama. Not that I miss talking to either of them, but damn. All that shit over a misunderstanding. It really makes you think, huh? I suppose a valuable moral to be learned here is this:
Always sign out of your messenger service because you never know who's going to block someone drama-prone and start the dramatics up.
