(no subject)
Today was amazing. If you don't know anything about softball and/or don't care, don't read any of this.
We were at Crawford for 12:15 to take team pictures. Then we left for Worcester for our game at 3. But we get there and everything's an hour behind. Then we find out everything's two or more hours behind.
So then the whole team went to Applebees. Jess and Sam and I had a toilet paper fight in the bathroom and I'm really glad we haven't grown up yet. Then we went back and found out our game wasn't going to start until 7:30. So Brittney, Jess, Sam, Meghan and I went to the mall. They bought so much underwear they became "The Pantyliners" HAHAHA. Our game started. They scored one. I hit in the tying run. Then I stole third and was safe and stole home and was safe but they called me out, ending the inning. And out of all the slides I've had, those two were the dirtiest. And right when my elbow heals from one slide, I get another one. Somewhere in there we scored four runs, making it 5-1. Then we had a bad inning and it was 5-3. THEN I errored and gave them two runs. I hated myself so bad for that. And then I think I have the chance to redeem myself and I try to get the out and first and it was out by a mile but they called her safe. Then I hit a line drive back at the pitcher but I didn't even care that I was out because I hit her so hard in her hand and they had to take her out. That inning ended 6-6. Jess got put in! Then I got walked and I was stealing second, but then I get there and they're like 'umps called time, you have to go back to first', so i didn't make a big deal out of it and then when i stole second i got there and i was like "what happened?" to the ump, and he was like 'i dont know who did that or why but it wasnt the right call'.
eventually its 6-8 in the seventh inning, they score 2 and tie it. so here we are haha and its tied and the bases are loaded for nicki devlin and i dont think i have ever been more glad that she was up to bat. she belts it to left field. and i love most when one half of the team tackles the winning runner and the other half tackles the winning rbi-er. we got so much free stuff after from the sponsor, bat bags, free dinners, lunch bag things, frisbees, tshirts. i dont think i could be happier right now.
If we win tomorrow at 3, we go to Maryland!
