"Science beats nature every time-- even supernatural nature. Sorry, but it's true and always will be. Deal with it."

A bit sad they went with streamlining instead of the classic beekeeper suit profile, but I guess they've got to distinguish themselves visually somehow. AIM mooks are pretty disposable, but it looks like these guys are going to be around for a while.

And I love the teaser for the next issue, you've got to love a dashing female science-adventurer.

Word to everything. And it's bad that AIM is most often treated as a laughingstock --- I'd read a series (heck, an universe) based around them.

Their competence wildly fluctuates. It's clear they make some of the deadliest weapons and bio-conversions on 616-Earth, the Super-Adaptoid, the Cosmic Cube, MODOK, the synthetic UniPower, Death's Head 3.0. But their leadership has been less than inspiring.

Monica Rappacini is probably the most competent Scientist-Supreme we've ever seen, and she's borderline self-destructive as it is (Making super-powered kids with sleeper programming and expecting them to fall in line is always a bad move). (Although full marks for trying to make peace with MODOK and surviving his inevitable counter-stroke.).

I'd really like to see her story continued, she comes with the best toybox in the Marvel U, prepacked with a hero antagonist (her daughter The Scorpion), and a huge array of heroes and villains to do business with.

True. Maybe AIM is supposed to be a meta-level observation on how scientists make generally lousy tacticians?

Plus, I guess for most of it's existence, AIM has been HYDRA's weaponeers, so anybody who was competent like that would probably just move up and sideways into the more martial (and ambitious) organization.

Nowadays they're separate organizations, though, so it would make sense for that to change.
