Aw that's cute. I was reading my most recent entry from last fall on the election. Now that I am a little more educated on economics and public finance, I know that increasing tax rates doesn't necessarily increase tax revenue. In some cases, lowering tax rates increases total revenue. I was also naive in thinking that promises made during elections are actually relevant to the future. I was certainly right about the national debt going up but nobody seems concerned about the debt. Most people pay attention to the budget deficit, which has also been going up and is linked with the national debt. I still don't fully understand public finance but I definitely want to learn more and more about it. It's fascinating stuff. I noticed my school has a 500 level course entirely on Public Finance. Hey maybe... although I shouldn't get too ahead of myself here. I need to finish my 5-year plan.
Am I the only one who doesn't like facebook? It's too busy. Elaborate. Tacky. Flashy. Confusing. Poke. Farmville. Invitation. I still don't get the appeal of posting on every little thing you do or think about during the day. Oooo look at me everyone, I took a shit today and now I'm gonna whipe my ass at 4:03 PM. Nobody cares. I probably sound like an old man who is confused and scared of current trends but it's just not my style. Social networking may've been my style in '05 but not '09. I only go on to see what Matt Friedel is up to because he is very cool. I wish I was as cool as him.
