We've got less than one week before the election and I FINALLY FIGURED OUT who I'm voting for. The bottom line is, I don't think Obama is going to bring in enough tax revenue. I can't believe I'm saying this but a democrat is actually not taxing enough. According to Barack Obama's own website, his revenues will be less than 18.2% of GDP, which is less overall taxing then what prevailed under Ronald Reagan. Plus, Obama has a LOT of spending in line. So basically he will either have to cut a lot of spending or borrow. I REALLY don't think he'll be able to cut spending and if he borrows our nation goes more in debt. Our nation does not need any more debt.
McCain on the other hand, looks to be bringing in the same amount of tax revenue. He doesn't have as much spending in line and he wants a spending freeze right off the bat. So there you go. McCain's got my vote. Part of me still wants to vote Obama because I think it would be really cool to see history happen (1st black president). Of course I always thought our nation's 1st black president would be Carlton Banks, but he's not a real person...
My prediction is this: If Obama gets in, our national and foreign debt will go up. If McCain gets in, it will stay about the same or maybe even decrase.
Mark my words.
(I hope I'm wrong for our nation's sake because Obama is going to win)
