this is the first day of my life
So I haven't written in my livejournal in a long time.
Almost a year.
My previous post(s) (the last 2 or 3) depict the things I was feeling the last time I wrote as well as the goings ons of that time.
Since then I have
moved to Millersburg, Pennsylvania to live with my boyfriends parents
moved to Memphis, Tennessee to go to school at the University of Memphis where I am a Music Education Major and intend on graduating on time in 2011
had great emotional progress with my wonderful boyfriend Reuben. Things were rocky at one point, but seeing him over Christmas break seemed to make things so much better
made friends that were both good and bad for me and learned the difference
been in a band and "kicked out" of it as well
gone on to do bigger better musical things like record with a local band
be apart of an ambient group
start a post rock/instrumental band with a composition major
stood up for myself
gotten better at the viola
tried to better my life
filed my taxes for the first time
been upset about not being able to financially provide for myself
taken out my labret piercing
gotten three new tattoos
bought a radiohead ticket
sold a radiohead ticket
realized that the people I love are more important that a concert
continued to grow up
drank yerba matte
gotten completely smashed for the first (and last) time
been hit on
gone camping for the first time
laid on a bench and read einstein's dreams while enjoying and appreciating the sun
made friends that I hope I keep
particularly one that I really feel for (in a non sexual way)
connected to people on a completely new level and reveled in it
had a master class with isaac sterns son
et cetera, et cetera.
and on the whole I've been a lot happier.
