Iron Box of An Island
By Jay Chou

Turning off the lights of the corridor
Putting down my schoolbag
Walking to my room, looking out into the window
Recalling the newly-bought book
One that's entitled "the Iron Box of the Peninsula"

Besides the bed lies a pile
Of the first, sixth, seventh page of its prelude
I never expected
You, who had read this book together with me, would have to leave
No more, never again

I already can't see it anymore
The keyhole to the iron box
A ray of light shines through, I can tell it has rusted for ages

So old, so old
The dust on the outside envelopes me
So dark, so dark
I cannot find the key to the iron box

Besides the candles lie
The sweet memories that I really want to reminisce
And then it filtered us out
A tragedy that became beautiful

Encased in the box is the happiness you brought me
I really want to remember but I can't remember
Why is it so?
You tugging me, saying you felt a tinge of doubt

How can it be so?

The rain has not even stopped, you already want to leave with an umbrella
I have already become accustomed
To not restricting you
After some time, and then you will return

It seems like my impression of love
Is that it cannot withstand the test of time

Why is it so?

You looking at me, saying you have decided
I know I can't hold on to you any longer
His hands should be warmer than mine

The iron box's prelude has become my diary entry
Turned into air
And transformed into memories

It seems like my impression of love
Is that it cannot withstand the test of time
That's why you gave up
