if I lived in New York, I would wear dresses everyday. with scarves and sneakers.

working makes your summers very different. I guess I have been working summers since I was 17. good God that was a long time ago. but Ive never had a 9-5 job like this. or should I say a 9-6 or 7ish job. its not the same as popping in and out of the office at Rice, or waitressing and getting drunk every night. its a whole different kind of exhaustion.
I was amazed by the heat today. and then even more amazed that I wasnt used to it. and subsequently further amazed at the realization that I havent spent much of this summer outside.
I miss the days I didnt have consistent Internet access. I read a lot more those days. or is it that I havent found a decent book in so long? the corner by my bed is littered with half read novels of various content.

I have some interesting ideas for my space. money always being the issue, creativity is a must.
