Damn crazy Puerto Ricans!
So this morning I woke up, and my dad told me not to take a shower. Why?
I walk into the kitchen, and he has a large brown paper bag... of stuff. I didn't even know he went out. He pulls out a variety of things:
2 house/floor cleaners
1 pack of incense pebbles
4 aromatherapy thingy packs... that you bathe in. Or something.
2 packs of styrofoam looking tablets
1 bar of home-made coconut soap.
And these things... were to bring us good luck in the new year and cleanse us.
Woah.
So I had to boil the four packs of... stuff. it smelled like green tea, weed, and tobacco, but mostly tea. After it boiled, I took a shower and washed myself with the soap, and I'd never felt so clean in my life. Sincerely! Maybe this crazy puerto rican santeria whatever thing works. I felt a lot better after that shower. I took my 1/4 of the concoction that was made earlier and strained it. After all the leaves and little bits were out, I took it to the shower, wished myself and the family/friends good luck and prosperity in the new year, and dumped it on my head. It felt and smelled strange. When my brother did it, it stained the his tub. But not mine.. it's probably because mine is a stupid shower stall.
After that, we took the lucky cleaner stuff and cleaned the house with it.
We went out to eat at the diner. Again, finished a huge burger in record time.
Later on, my dad burned the incense and blew it into all of our rooms. It looked like my house was just on fire, that's how smoky it was. XD It was very pungent, too.
Then, we took a bowl and filled it with cold water. Then we put the four tablets in. It smelled like Vicks. Then we put it by the door. I don't know how long it's supposed to stay there. D:
Psh, and all my dad made us do last year was wear yellow. He's crazy.
He also bought something ridiculous- money spray. It's supposed to bring us luck with money. Okay, that I don't believe in. Maybe the other stuff. But definetely not that. XDD Oh well.
Spanish people are crrrazzy. Well, it was cool. I think it'll work. Some say all you need is faith...
