The Rain
Its raining today.......coming down steadly.
I always have loved when it rains......
The drops hitting the ground remind me that the problems of yesterday have all been washed away.
If only that were really true.........
I found a picture of him today.......it was hidden away underneath a jersey I have.....
If I had realized it was him I wouldn't have picked it up and looked.....
But by the time I realized who it was it was to late......
Its funny how I can go through days and weeks and not think about it.......
Someone can mention his name and I will smile......
I can talk with friends about him and how happy we were when we were together and not cry.....
Yet when I see his face there is this stinging feeling in my heart.......
The feeling that I know won't go away........
The pain of losing your first love never leaves.........
So I'll sit here and watch the rain come down and hope that one day it will wash this feeling away.....
