Nick sat behind his desk, his elbows resting on the surface, his head in his hands. He couldn't believe it. One of his students was gone. And not just any student. It was Brian. Quiet, brilliant, hilarious Brian. Brian, who was one of the smartest students in his class. Brian, who had always confided in him. He was dead. When he heard a man's voice his head snapped up. The CSI looked a little young, not much older than his own students. He nodded, but he didn't even try to smile. His eyes were red-rimmed with the effort of trying not to cry, and he was sure the rest of him didn't look that great either. He slipped his glasses on and stood up to shake Greg's hand. "Nick Stokes."
Greg smiled amicably, definetly not thinking about how attractive this guy was. He took the science teacher's hand, and couldn't help but notice that despite the circumstances, he still had a very firm grip. And Greg was definetly not thinking about how sexy it was.
"Do you know if Brian was having any problems at all in school? Academically? Socially?" He asked, and paused a bit before continuing. "I know this is a difficult situation for you, sir, but whatever information you may have could really help us develop our case. The people behind this deserve to face the consequences."
Greg was definetly not thinking about how much he liked glasses right about now.
Nick released Greg's hand and crossed his arms over his chest. "Brian never had any problems academically. He is- was a very bright student. But he did get teased a lot... that word, on his locker... that's not the first time it's been there, and it's not the only word that was used." He took his glasses off again, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I don't get it. I talked to him just last night, how could he be... gone?" He leaned back against his desk and put his glasses back on. He didn't know if he'd be able to make it through the day.
Greg had pulled his notepad out of his vest, definetly not thinking about what Nick Stokes' broad chest would look like not covered by his shirt. He scrawled out a few notes haphazardly before turning his attentions back to the teacher again.
"You talked to him last night? Did he confide in you a lot? Was there anyone in particular who had made a habit out of bullying Brian?" Greg almost winced again at his own words, feeling guilty for bombarding Nick Stokes with so many questions.
As soon as Nick had enough time to be relieved that he wasn't a suspect anymore, his anger set in. Obviously he couldn't do anything, though. He knew that they were only trying to do their jobs, butit still hurt that they would think he could kill someone he cared so much about. He walked down the hall heading towards the exit.
It was weird, Greg had talked to Nick Stokes for all of five minutes once, yet he immediately recognized the broad shouldered back as it moved briskly towards the exit of the Crime Lab.
"Mr. Stokes!" He called, jogging to catch up with the older man. "Mr. Stokes, hi. It's Greg again from the lab." He said, smiling amicably again as he reached him. "I just... I wanted you to be the first to know." He said, dropping the smile and adopting a solemn tone. "We got him. Micheal Hammet's brother, Steven. The authorities are taking him away now."
He paused, biting his lip, and feeling suddenly nervous. He wasn't sure about how Nick Stokes would take his news, or his presence, after being roughly interrogated by Brass and Warrick. That sort of thing had to be embarassing for a guy.
"Oh." Nick frowned, trying to think back to when Brian and Michael had been dating. He couldn't recall ever seeing or hearing anything about Michael's brother. "Well... that's great. I mean... thankyou."
He paused, pushing the glasses higher on his nose. "What's going to happen to him?" He couldn't help but ask. He didn't care why he did, he hoped... what was his name? Steven. He hoped Steven would be locked away in a tiny jail cell until the day he died.
Guh. Glasses. Greg was definetly not thinking about glasses. Okay, well, maybe he was thinking about glasses a bit. Now that the case was over it wasn't so bad, right?
"Um, well.." Greg said, taking a deep breath, "He's going to be kept in custody until a trial can be organized, and after that, well, then it's in the hands of the jury. There's noting more I can do." He said honestly, looking up at Nick with a concerned expression on his face.

"Are you going to be alright?"
