Nick sat behind his desk, his elbows resting on the surface, his head in his hands.
He couldn't believe it.
One of his students was gone. And not just any student.
It was Brian.
Quiet, brilliant, hilarious Brian.
Brian, who was one of the smartest students in his class.
Brian, who had always confided in him.
He was dead.
When he heard a man's voice his head snapped up. The CSI looked a little young, not much older than his own students. He nodded, but he didn't even try to smile.
His eyes were red-rimmed with the effort of trying not to cry, and he was sure the rest of him didn't look that great either.
He slipped his glasses on and stood up to shake Greg's hand.
"Nick Stokes."

Greg smiled amicably, definetly not thinking about how attractive this guy was. He took the science teacher's hand, and couldn't help but notice that despite the circumstances, he still had a very firm grip. And Greg was definetly not thinking about how sexy it was.

"Do you know if Brian was having any problems at all in school? Academically? Socially?" He asked, and paused a bit before continuing. "I know this is a difficult situation for you, sir, but whatever information you may have could really help us develop our case. The people behind this deserve to face the consequences."

Greg was definetly not thinking about how much he liked glasses right about now.

Nick released Greg's hand and crossed his arms over his chest.
"Brian never had any problems academically. He is- was a very bright student. But he did get teased a lot... that word, on his locker... that's not the first time it's been there, and it's not the only word that was used."
He took his glasses off again, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"I don't get it. I talked to him just last night, how could he be... gone?"
He leaned back against his desk and put his glasses back on.
He didn't know if he'd be able to make it through the day.

Greg had pulled his notepad out of his vest, definetly not thinking about what Nick Stokes' broad chest would look like not covered by his shirt. He scrawled out a few notes haphazardly before turning his attentions back to the teacher again.

"You talked to him last night? Did he confide in you a lot? Was there anyone in particular who had made a habit out of bullying Brian?" Greg almost winced again at his own words, feeling guilty for bombarding Nick Stokes with so many questions.

"I was the closest thing he had to a friend." He admitted sullenly. "It's hard for kids to deal with what Brian was going through, he needed someone to talk to. I guess I seemed like his safest bet."
He tried to think about who could do this to Brian, and one name popped into his head immediatly.
"Alex Sibriani. He's on the basketball team. I can't remember a day ever going by without him saying something to Brian."

Greg nodded sympathetically, knowing all too well what Brian had gone through, but didn't bring it up. He had to remain detached, and everything. Yet he wanted to say something, anything to help comfort the older man. "I'm... I'm sure your support meant a lot to Brian. Having someone to talk to is always comforting." He managed, somewhat awkwardly. He hadn't really gotten used to having to comfort the friends and family of his victims yet, but since he was definetly not thinking about how hot Nick was, that didn't have anything to do with his awkwardness. No. Not at all.

"Alex Sibriani..." He repeated, writing the name down under his previous notes. "Was his bullying always directed at Brian's orientation? How long had this been going on?" Do you want to have dinner and sex with me? Nope. Definetly not thinking about that.

"We have other openly gay students, but he hardly ever says a word to them. I guess for some reason he just didn't like Brian and his homosexuality was just an easy thing to target." He looked at Greg for the first time since he met him, and took in his appearence.
It figures. The only guy he's found this attractive in months and it's in a situation like this.
"It's been going on awhile. Ever since their freshman year I think."

Greg could feel Nick Stokes' eyes on him, and his face reddened slightly and he kept his eyes on his notepad, where he was still scribbling out some almost indecipherable notes.

"Well, I'm going to want to have a few words with this Alex." He said, more to fill in the silence than anything else. "Did Brian disclose anything else to you? Was he dealing with any other issues? Was he dating anyone, maybe?"

He frowned, biting down on his bottom lip trying to remember.
"Yeah... He was dating a guy a few months ago. Um... Michael Hammet I think it was. They broke it off right after Brian's dad found out he was gay..." He trailed off when two of his students entered his classroom. The two girls paused when they saw Greg, and their expressions turned somber, as if rumors had been flying around already.
"Oh God, what am I supposed to tell my kids." He muttered, the urge to cry returning. Brian should already be sitting in his seat in front of Nick's desk right now. His first period was small, there were only around 12 students and they had all managed to become close.

Greg wrote down Micheal's name as well, and his eyes turned downwards when the girls entered the chemistry lab. He gave Nick a respectful nod. "You seem to have a good relationship with your students, I'm sure they'll understand whatever you tell them." He said courteously, unsure of what else to say, really.

"Well, Mr. Stokes, thanks again for your time, you've helped a lot. If we need anything else myself or detective Brass will be sure to contact you." He paused, giving Nick Stokes one last pained expression. He would probably never see him again. So much for that. He debated for a second giving Nick his number, but it wouldn't have been really... appropriate.

Shaking his hand once more, Greg gave Nick an appreciative smile, and turned and left the classroom.
