Charma Turn Around?
So it is three weeks shy of the 2nd anniversary of my mom's death and two years of bad charm; being laid off, the long stretch of not working and then all the drama with my dad.
But maybe that's starting to turn around. The drama with Dad is coming to a head and looks like it will all end up well. All's well that ends well.
And then today I got a surprise raise/promotion. I was planning on asking for a raise with taking on the minion(s) but was waiting until things settled down to ask. But today my boss came to me and said that I will get a 13% raise, retroactive to April 1st.
I literally said "wow, thanks".
So maybe things are turning around.
