I see that you've removed me from your friends list for disagreeing with you. Well, I'd hoped that you might answer for having jumped to an inflammatory conclusion about a speech you hadn't even read. But I guess that since I'm from the evil empire, it doesn't really matter if your uniformed assumptions that my countrymen can't tell the difference between a religion and a group of murderers who want to kill innocent people offends me or not. I guess it was too much to hope that you might responsibly re-evaluate your own prejudices rather that just avoiding the issue.

you really are asking for it. it's MY journal, i can say whatever the hell i want. i actually wrote an essay, AN ESSAY, in really to YOUR inflammatory comment in MY journal (convenient?! kind of a bitchyass thing to say) but God spared you an ass reaming and livejournal ate my sixteen paragraph reply. so i kept it short and sweet, you're coming back for more so here you go.

you want to know what REALLY fucking offended me?! it had NOTHING, i repeat NOTHING to do with religion like you so quickly assumed. (its so easy to assume that i'm offended by religion, because you don't know me) ... it's so easy to just ignore the underhanded shit said in that speech because you live in the gardens of liberty, eh?

I'm going to bow out here because it was never honestly my intention to get into a flame war with you. I just wanted to say a couple of things before I go, so maybe you'll understand why I've said what I have and the way I have.

One, it wasn't so much my assumption that you were talking about religion as it was your implication. I believe your words were "We're so Islamicly evil". Since Islam is the primary religion of the Middle East and not the name of that region, pairing that statement with a speech about an act of terrorism gave the impression that you felt the president had stood up and said "Muslims are evil".

The reason that I was quite so annoyed by this point is that I've sat by quietly while you've talked about your hatred for "the American Empire" and how your only consolation is that all empires fall. I've never wished any harm to your country, incidentally, and since such an empire doesn't exist, I'm not even sure what sort of harm you're wishing to mine. i don't give two shits what you think, to be honest. if you actually followed anything i wrote, you'd understand what inner turmoil i'm in because of this fucking american poassport that i never asked for to begin with. torn between using it for my own benefit by getting into a glaswegian university to get a good education, but having to deal with all the nasty consequences of actually having it. did you miss the entry where i pondered whether or not to burn it when i'm done with university?! i guess not. your not the only american on my list, you're just the only one apparently blinded by the colours and refusing to understand that you can love your country but STILL recognize and accept it's blaring flaunts and the grave effect it has on the rest of the world.
