Some Good News!
So, Matt is finally moving out of his parent's house next week. yep. Two of his friends and Matt are moving into a 5 bedroom house down Adams road from me.
His parents good friends want to lease option the house, which is gorgeous, and are only charging the guys $1500 a month. It's a sweet deal because of how great the house is. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs as well as two baths. On the main floor, there is a living room, an office, a remodeled kitchen, dining room, a half bath, and a beautiful sunroom. The basement is finished and has a bedroom and another small kitchen. There is a large deck off the back and the backyard is a really good size. They guys have got it good.
They are trying to find a 4th roommate to help with rent and utilities, but even if they don't, what they're getting for it is an amazing deal. Basically, by lease-optioning the house, they are paying the same mortgage the original owners are paying. After a period of two years, the mortgage will switch from their name into Matt's name and its his house. Not bad for a 20 year old kid. And the best part is they aren't obligated to stay. If something happens and they decide they can't afford it any longer, they can move out.
Overall, its a kick ass deal. Matt is super excited because he gets to leave his parents and be on his own, for once. I wonder how he's going to manage with the whole making his own dinner and such. I am giving him all my dishes and the George Forman grill, as I won't need them this year...
I'm just so happy for him to be on his own. It's a good thing coming for him, as with the all money he's bringing in now that he's a salesman at the dealership...
now he just needs to get working on purchasing a small piece of jewelry for me and we'll be all set. ;)
