I would like to start out my first entry of the year with a summary of my year
its rather short
Jan : first tattoo [20-something]
and then i can't remember shit...
haha.
june: Graduation!
August: first job ever[5th]
September: begining of my college career [5th]
october: goodbye julius [10 months]
second tattoo
november: Hello Eugene [4th]
december: Dad had a heart attack [24th]
pretty awesome, huh?
I've been trying to do more stuff from pictures, so i started to do a graphite drawing of my mom and her borthers and sisters. The photo was taken two years before I was born. I really like the way that one of my uncles looks, but it looks rather a lot like me, so I don't know...
I just watched My Neighbor Totoro and Howls Moving Castle. My love of anime has just increased ten fold. I think that I may just have to ask for a totoro or a soot gremlin stuffed animal for my birthday.
I would also really enjoy doing some japanese inspired art. I just did some color cards for one of my classes, and I really enjoyed using watercolor on gessoed paper, so I was thinking about doing something like it, a series maybe. really long pieces of paper with a muted background and some animals piled in the righthand lower corner.
