As citizens of the world, we must do something to improve it. If we all took the money we use on pointless items, and gave it to those who really need it, can you imagine HOW MUCH they'd have? Think of how much money you spend on Starbucks, or how much freakin' money Cooper City High School spent on microphones and speakers for the new classrooms. I was learning just fine before; 5 rows back does not require speakers to hear the teacher. Girls wrestling in a pool of pudding on MTV is so wasteful, not to mention demeaning and tasteless. I'm guilty of it. "Oh, I'll just buy this thing I'll never use because I have extra money lying around." Use it for the good of others. I know I try, and I'm going to try harder. I went to Pac-Sun the other day, and honestly, who wants to spend 45 dollars on a pair of shorts? I know that in the area I live in and today's circumstances, that is not asking too much, but if you think about, it's so ridiculous and wasteful. When I went to Atlanta, there was a charity where you could send Bibles to people in China. I take mine for granted so much, and everybody's into getting their leatherbound personalized editions, but these people couldn't even afford their own. Could you imagine that?! Not being able to afford the single most important book in existence? Or any book, for that matter. Watching the show My Super Sweet 16, I want to throw up. These girls...why do they deserve $100,000 cars, along with parades, and people worshiping them? They don't. It's pointless. I'm not saying don't have a good time. I like having money, as do most people. I'm saying don't spend it pointlessly. At least think about helping others. If I really needed help, I'd like to think that someone in the world was trying to help me. I really really would.
