MCR, AT, and RATFE
OMG IT WAS SO AWESOME
I saw My Chemical Romance, Alkaline Trio, and Reggie And The Full Effect last weekend in Duluth (pretty much Atlanta) Georgia.
It was the best thing ever.
Me and Jodi left Saturday morning and it seemed like forever before we got there, when we did we ate real quick and left for the concert. I was so nervous that the tickets had the wrong place on them or something since this date was never on the list but when we saw a big flashing sign that said CHEMICAL ROMANCE STRAIGHT I died inside....but in a good way.
My cousin dropped us off out front and we went to the door, we hid my camera in case they werent allowed and it all hit me when the girl scanned our tickets and told me to enjoy the show. It was the best moment of my life. I swear, I wanted to hug her. Lol.
We searched for our seats and I was so afraid we'd end up being in like the top row, but we went straight in and sat down. We were next to the stage, if you've ever seen MCR live on Fuse or something, we sat next to Mikey and Frank. OMGZSQUEEDIES. We sat down and nothing was really happening so we chatted and stared at guys until the lights went down and everybody started screaming. I saw James Dewees walk out and start setting up his keyboard, he talked about how cold it was and how hot it was in San Diego and then how cute Gerard was and that he isnt a fag. Then they started playing and it BLEW ME AWAY. I mean, the whole place was shaking and the guys were all over the stage and it was just the best thing ever. So they sang their songs, I wanted to rape him so bad and he left. *sniff sniff* I felt bad though, cuz I only knew one song they sang, but as of now they are one of my all time favorite bands. James Dewees... omg *swoon*
So me and Jodi talked while they set up for Alkaline Trio, they started out with some black and white banner behind them, these guys did like a sound check or something and the lights went down and red lights came on and I immediately recognized Matt Skiba and again, died in a good way. They started playing and then he talked about how we were quieter than Birmingham, something he probably says at every concert, but whatever, I squealed and my knees locked anyway at the sound of his voice. Then he came over to our side of the stage and I died yet again, he looked up at us and pointed and I screamed bloody fricken murder. They played a lot of their older stuff and only one song off their new cd, which was cool, cuz I know their older stuff. Maybe I'll Catch Fire, rocked omg.
Then we knew it would take forever for them to set up for MCR so we decided to browse the merch. We went outside and there was a huge group of people waiting and I was like oh daym, I'll never get up here. Then Jodi grabbed my hand and started shoving through the crowd until we were up there and the lady in front of us left and we got our stuff. I got an awesome MCR shirt, and one for my brother, Jodi got a fricken awesome Reggie shirt, I got Laney a poster and we were out of there. We sat back down and discussed with the people in front of us whether or not this roadie (who looked A LOT like Sonny of From First To Last) was a girl or guy. The girls reminded me of Laney and Peyton cuz they looked about the same age and their dad looked like Laneys dad and he was really pissed off, he left after Gerard said F*** about 30 times. hehe
So MCR finally came out, they had like two stained glass church windows behind them and were wearing their usual outfits.
And omg Im getting run out so I have to finish this later!!
