Oh, yeah, Carson. Never mind that the whole clone thing is incredibly silly, no one even seems to care anymore that he's not the real thing. Which is nice for him, I guess, but it cheapens the whole identity crisis thing the Replicator team had going on.
And my life's just a constant up and down. Every time it seems I'm getting back on my feet money-wise, something comes up. Or breaks down, case in point. *kicks stupid car*
Pegasus was awesome. I got to meet a lot of people I only knew from LJ before, made a few new friends, and was relieved to find they were all as awesome in person as one could hope for. One of them even visited me two weeks ago, and I'm hoping to return the favour next spring.
The new cat settled in just fine, except it turned out I did in fact acquire a cat and not a tomcat as advertised. But we're all used to each other now and I get to pet her, though she still hides under the bed when I get any visitors that aren't my sister. I've no idea what the previous owner did, but it must have been memorable. :/
And, uh, sorry for rambling? Apparently I'm chatty when tired.
As much as I wanted Carson not to have been killed by an exploding tumor (seriously, how do you even say that with a straight face?), I think the clone is an unfair way to bring him back. The guy died saving people, even if it wasn't that gloriously, and they're just like, "Oh, we killed off the real Carson? No worries, we cloned him. It's exactly the same, right? Anyone want a fresh copy of dear dead Grandma while we're at it?"
Yeah, I know what you mean - my car has started making weird noises and periodically turning the check engine light on. :{. Someone really needs to get on assigning a patron saint/demigod/spirit/whatever of car trouble avoidance.
Glad to hear Pegasus was good! Hope you didn't find out that the new cat was female via kittens! I've never had cats, just dogs, but aren't cats pretty aloof in general? Or is it more than that? I've never been able to get my aunt's cats to come out from under things when I'm there (I apparently am too loud and make sudden movements and stare at them when they are busy being invisible).
Nah, I found out by way of checking once she was old enough that she should have developed certain, uh, body parts. And yeah, my cats are both not all that fond of cuddling, though my sister's two tomcats want to be hugged and petted all the time. So maybe it's a cat vs. tomcat thing.
