Road Trip!
Got to spend the day with my best friend! It doesn't get to happen as often as we'd like. Sure, we have girls' nite every Thursday and that's great. But this was so much better. No real time limit. No kiddo talking over us the entire time. Other than the rain, the day was perfect.
Leisa: What are you doing? Are you taking a picture of me? Don't take a picture of me! That better not end up on Twitter or some shit!
Theresa: Shaddup! (And it totally did end up on Twitter! shhh!)
This was her haul from the garden center. I just volunteered to carry stuff out to the car because I didn't want to hear how much she'd spent. Thank GOD I was broke, cuz I would have wrecked that place. So many beautiful plants!!
They had free range cats at the Garden Center. This pretty boy climbed up and made a nest in a stack of moss containers.
Next we stopped at a Tea Room/Antiques/Garden Art Shop. Did a little shopping, I tried on a tiara, oooed and ahhed over the garden and had a very nice lunch. The gal that owned this store recommended we go to her friend's down the street! BEST decision EVAH!
All these photos are from the next garden. If it hadn't been nearly pouring rain, we could have spent the entire afternoon exploring. She had so many little nooks and crannies. Every where you turned it was dessert for the eyes.
I definitely want to go back in the summer to see what it looks like in bloom. But right now with all the hosta she has (& she's known as the Hosta Lady) and the colors and variations and textures...it was just beautiful. My pics don't do it justice because it was raining.
