Absent-minded wandering isn't always a good idea when you have immediate access to booby trap-laden castles or unstable, universal hubs like the Nexus. Good things can't come of you not knowing or paying attention to where you're going.

But absent is more or less the state Ramon's mind has been in for days now. Absent in favor of turning over Hippolyta's announcement, wish he knew what to make of it. Sometimes he was tempted to go back to her and ask if this was all an elaborate joke, but the times when he sees her, Ramon knows it's real. He can see it in her smile, smell it in her skin.

It's funny that the person who's spent more than half his life with a parasite housed inside his chest found himself shocked wordless and having to retreat to get some air when he realized there was another heartbeat inside of his wife.

He's hardly aware of where it is he's going as he meanders through the castle, watching only his feet, hands clasped behind his back. Trying to both focus on the ever-approaching change in his life, and trying not to. Nine months can go by quickly, and about three of those are already behind them...

Ramon doesn't notice what rooms he walks into, as he's assured in his ability to navigate his own home, even when half-focused on his location. Which explains why, despite Hippolyta's prior warning, and growing contempt for the place, the castellan comes upon the door that leads to the Nexus and wanders blindly into it.

It's only for a few moments when he notices the floor is white and there's the drone of nearby crowds does Ramon panic, realization dawning as to where he is now.

But it fades shortly, and he can't remember exactly why he let that work him up; or why he was worked up to begin with, in fact. It's the Nexus. Ain't no big thing.

Ramon shrugs and moseys on over to the usual questions and answers area; he's got a bit of time to kill, right?
