90% fed up
Somewhere in the past week, I've realized that I don't like working at Starbucks anymore. And I think I'm (just about) ready to take the initiative to start looking for another job. If I don't look forward to going in and staying at one place for more than 6 hours a day, then I don't think it's worth it. "Do what you love" no longer equals "love what you do".
Oh, and by the way.. I figured out that Starbucks is open whether it's raining, snowing, or is on fire. I learned that yesterday when the oven caught fire and, instead of evacuating the building and closing the store like we should've, we were told to "turn off the oven, let it cool off, find out what happened and take care of cleaning it, and then go back to the usual daily tasks."
It's good to know that the assistant manager would rather make an extra $100 during the day than be worried about his employees suffering from smoke inhalation. Fuck that shit.
