Let's start up with a fantastic Japanese comedy act

Now that we are cheered from our melancholy
(actually, Cake is being cheered by The Artistocats, who seem to get into an awful lot of trouble, and have rather confusing accents, but beautifully hand-drawn animation).
Actually, yesterday I felt rather melancholic and so I did what I always do...
Meet Aurelia
In my head, this is proncounced with a European accent, as in Love Actualy.
+ chocolate + cider + roast capsicum and zucchini
I also discovered that people have been tricksy and although the Carebears have those horrid shiny new covers, the actual DVD contents are the original 80's cartoons~~~♪
AND THEN
I made an absoultely fantabulous discovery.
My favourite Carebear, Cheerbear, had a mysteriously familiar voice. Almost Sailor Moonish or something. So I looked her up and sure enough,
BAZINGA~~!☆
She is indeed,
SAILOR MOON.
Man, I have good taste ;) (Sailor Moon is my favourite sailor scout).
Today's melancholy was solved by satisfying a five-month-long butter chicken curry craving. Oh gods, it was so good. SO GOOD.

Today I watched more Carebears - there are viking!Carebears~!
I'm about to watch Zathura for the first time, since my parents are out at Riverdance for the first time.
Tomorrow I'll start on The Muppet Show
Still a bit melancholic - I'm sure there's a name for it, involing the word "syndrome". I'm sure I'll adjust.
It doesn't help that yesterday was Jasmine You's birthday (although I did actually forget. I am terrible with all birthdays. It's horrid. I can only remember a few friends in the same month as me, and maybe one other person outside of my immediate family).
There are also a lot of people I know getting engaged or married at the moment or some time this year. I am incredibly happy for all of them, it's lovely. But when I'm feeling lonely, thinking about being left behind doesn't help -__-
Japanese class is a weird one, too.
It feels very odd being back in an English Japanese class. With other people. Without Asano-sensei. At least I don't feel like I'm the bottom of the class, although I really only feel like I've levelled up to keep up with everyone else. I'm also not the only one who has just returned from exchange. And the people I was closest to in class aren't there now.
The first class I had, I got a horrible wave of home-sickness; the second class, which was this afternoon, I just felt really lonely - maybe that's because I sat by myself since I was late.
Whine, whine, whine, I know.
Wow, the ten-year-old kid in Zathura sure is an obnoxious jerk.
Anyway, yesterday Curtin did the best thing they've ever done.
Ever.
Totally melancholy-banishing.
THEY HAD A PETTING ZOO.

For no apparent reason, the Guild thought it would be a cool idea for O-month (yeah, it's a whole month now, apparently). It was fantabulous. I got to hold a bunny!

Why are these Zathura kids not freaking out more about the fact that they just had a meteor shower in their living room?

I couldn't bear to knit them nettle jumpers and cover up such beautiful work~
Swan princes fascinate me and I love all the different stages of bird transformation these boys are in.

FINALLY, another character has entered this movie.
The dynamic of the annoying fighting brothers was not working.
ARGH HOLY CRAP STOP SHOUTING. Why did they think two prepubescent boys screaming at each other at the top of their lungs for thirty+ seconds of screen time was ever a good idea?
Anywho, let's finish this post with something we haven't seen here for a long time -
