[By sheer luck, Patchouli, rendered powerless (though still retaining her intelligence and horrid physical skill) had managed to get to get on board a safe (at present) ship.
The woman sighed, looking down at the surface on which she now stood. She really hadn't taken much time to think about this level of violence. War did not often cross her mind ever except very rarely, probably because it was so difficult to think about. Wherever it was she now found herself (she was not convinced she was in Infinity City), it was a horrible place; she hoped this wasn't the normal condition of this world.
More importantly, it gave her time to think, about something she'd once considered. In the end, she finally decided that, yes, humans were truly the species with the most potential for destruction.
She was just glad that everything still seemed to be safe. But with no escape and no powers to defend herself, she'd never felt closer to her own mortality. She turns to look at anyone else who is near...]
