Rec: Liberating the Tin Man
It is a quiet day around the house this afternoon, everyone is snoozing so I thought that I would work on my second Harry/Ginny fic rec. I think that most of us fans of pairings has a particular story that really pushed us into our particular ship, and this one is mine.
Hummingbird's Liberating the Tin Man can be found over at Sink Into Your Eyes, and is such a well-written fic- sweet, but with a nice dollop of angst. It is slightly AU- Harry is the Quidditch player, not Ginny, but I found the other details to be Canon-compliant. The POV switches from Ginny to Harry and you really get a feel of why the characters are behaving as they are.
It is not too long- just eight chapters- but the story is paced nicely. It is one that I have returned to whenever I want to read some quality H/G. Hummingbird also has written Sunshine or Shadows which is a longer fic that does not concentrate as much on the romance of the characters. Go check it out!
