Another Summer Done
Yes! I am finished with another summer! The last day went by fast because we were cleaning and I'm glad there was no accidents this year. I spend a lot of time using a brook to scrub the floors and sweep the water to a drain. The bathrooms were messy so it took me a good 25 minutes or so to clean them. I am a little upset that I didn't balance; we were over by $2 and I couldn't figure out why? On the other hand, I managed to obtain 2 $2 bills!
So, most of the boys wanted to go to Peter Piper Pizza for our staff dinner but most of the girls did not want the go. They wanted to dress up but the boys did not want to spend a lot of money on food. Someone suggested Applebees and everyone agreed. I was ready 15 minutes ahead of schedule but my parents did not tell me when they came back from picking up my younger sister from her party. I was only a few minutes late.
The food was OK. I ordered chicken fingers with French fries. Man, I wish I had ordered the grilled chicken sandwich instead; it came with a bowl of fruit. Bah, I'm celebrating today so whatever. The whole gag gifts went pretty well. The only problem was that one girl got a really mean gift from her own friend. But, she does always act like she is a princess. The sad part is that she always gets something mean every year. I was really surprised to find that she had me! I got a calculator (since I'm a cashier), a notebook and a folder (for drawing, I guess), and a college freshmen party packet!
It made had been challenging with 3 pools closed, but it was another successful year! 3rd times the charm! ;)
