Star Trek, the Movie

Aug 02, 2009 00:45

I went to go see Star Trek with my younger brother and older sister. I was just in bed watching that Disney/Pixar movie Cars when my younger brother asked if we wanted to go see Star Trek. I thought the opportunity would give me some ideas for my latest story that I'm working on. My younger brother wanted dinner at Chick-Fil-A because he had a coupon. My sister was driving us to the movies when she had asked if it would be alright if she picked up "another guest". Obviously, it was her boyfriend. Neither of us minded but it really bugs me when my sister does these last minute change of original plans. She can't learn to say "No" or plan ahead of time.

So, we went to get food when she also had said that she needed to go to a liquor store with her boyfriend to get him stuff for his roommate. My brother felt uncomfortable so he called our parents. They came to pick all of us up. My sister was pissed off. My brother got to have dinner then we went to the movies. I don't know where my sister went. The only really sucky part was that we had to pay for our own tickets! Usually, if we movies as a family, my parents pay but if we see movies with our friends then we have to pay. Two tickets costs $19.50 and I only had $12 while my brother had $8. So I used my debit card to pay for my smoothie.

The movie was great! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I never watched Start Trek before but it was really awesome. It was pretty simple for non-fans to piece together information that normal fans know about. My two favorite characters were Spock and Scotty. I just like his accent! But was also nice about the film was that if gave me a lot of inspiration for my next story! :D
