Survived all the rain!
Was fitting mud guards to the bike at 7 am after waking up to torrential rain at 0630. Almost didn't go, but after supportive advice from the family ("Suck It Up, Princess!") I set off. Because after all, once you're wet to the skin, how much worse can it get?
It rained for an hour of the sportive, drizzled for another half an hour and then (THEN) it dried up and by the time the actual tour came through (after showers, food and a snooze on the sofa) the sun came out!
