I made a comment on a metaquotes entry, but it was # 12, so I may not get any responses.
here goes:
This time of year, a lot of goodies get put out in the office kitchen. If it's an arbitrarily divisible chunk of stuff, like cornbread, no one ever takes the last piece.
As it gets down toward the end, someone will take half of it. The next person will take half of that, and so on.
Eventually there are just crumbs not worth bothering with, and those get thrown away. Zeno would understand.
