Everyone is doing the fic of 2007 meme, and I figured I might as well follow suit, because I'm like that. Also, I figured it'd function as a good "g'bye, Supernatural!" post. Which kind of makes me sad in a way, that I really no longer consider myself part of that fandom, because I had a fabulous time there and there are some really, really wonderful people over there -- unfortunately, I just... lost interest. And then I found something else that was shiny, so I just. Yeah. Anyway, here is my fic of the past year.

My favorite story this year (of my own): "All Blood Bleeds Red." I have this feeling that for this meme, this fic is gonna be like Return of the King at the oscars, I'm going to say it over and over. Anyway. Yeah. I really really loved that story.
My best story this year: "All Blood Bleeds Red," again.
Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Probably, um, "Buried Things." But I was happy about that. I didn't want people to read it, so the fact that it got virtually no comments was actually all okay with me.
Most fun story: "Jim Beam, Jack, Tequila and Lime." Oh man, that was awesome. They were so ridiculous, and it was just a lot of fun to write.
Most sexy story: Oh god, I don't know. Probably, um. Oh! "Shenandoah." Yeah.
"Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story: I'm not totally sure. Probably actually "Don't Cry, You Can't Kill The Dead." Like, I was writing it, and I was just like, what the fuck, I am so confused, why is this even happening?
Story with single sexiest moment: "All Blood Bleeds Red." The ending of that fic, actually, when Sam cuts Dean's palm.
Story with single sweetest moment: "Christmas in the Suburbs." That entire fic is made of pure sugar.
Most unintentionally *telling* story: None of them, really. There's a lot of myself in my fics, but. It's never in such a way that it really actually tells much about me.
Fic that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: "Dys·lex·i·a." For, you know, obvious reasons. I really loved the idea that Dean was dyslexic, and it was cool to look at his thought process from that perspective.
Biggest disappointment: Probably "602." I finished it was basically like, yeah, okay, I never want to look at it again -- and I pretty much never did.
Biggest surprise: Suddenly deciding I loved slash, and wincest in particular? Yeah. That was DEFINITELY a surprise.
Hardest story to write: Probably "All Blood Bleeds Red." I spent hours and hours and hours on that fucking thing. "602" is up there though, just because the editing process SUCKED. Seriously, through editting it jumped from 7000 words to nearly 14000.
Easiest story to write: Probably, like, "Treasure Trail." It was just silly and hot. Not very difficult.
This year's theme and the story that demonstrates it most: Um. Porn is hot? "All Blood Bleeds Red," by sheer virtue of the fact that it's a nearly 20000 word fic where the big subplot is about Dean's sex habits. Seriously.
Amount of fic that lurks, unposted, on your hard drive and why: Um, if I had to guess -- I can't look because my big folder is on my computer at home and I don't have it here, but probably around 100,000 words -- likely more, actually. I have SHITLOADS of unfinished SPN/CWRPS fic that will never get finished because I'm no longer in those fandoms. My huge Dean goes to college AU, which I wrote tons of stuff on that just sort of floated around aimlessly, my Jensen and Jared break up fic, Jensen and Chris go on a roadtrip fic, Jensen gets beat up and Jared takes care of him fic, a whole bunch of stuff from the "Buried Things" 'verse, various incomplete standalones, all the writing I did for my Santa Cruz fic that will now never be finished.... So yeah, a lot. A lot a lot a lot. And then about, eh, 7000 or so words of bandom stuff that I'm currently working on and you can expect to see at some point.
