My county held a referendum today on adding casino-style table games to the local racetrack.

It was a hotly contested campaign between the track (who promised 1,000 jobs) and the churches (who promised hellfire raining down on us all). Over 10,000 people, from both sides of the issue, trekked down to Voters Reg to early-vote.
