Oh, don't get excited.
I pulled out of my driveway and made the turn at the end of my street to access the main road, except the car kept on turning due to the ice-covered pavement. By the time I got the car straightened out, it was headed for a tall bush/hedge/shrub-thing in front of the local Presbyterian church.
No damage either way -- the bush stood firm, and I couldn't find any scratches on the front bumper amid all the road-salt residue once I got to the office.
And my car, in all its wonderful technological brilliance, displayed "LOW TRACTION" on its info-display strip. (No truth to the rumor that the message only appeared after I hit the bush; besides, it did tell me "ICE POSSIBLE" when I first started down the street.)
