I'm not sure if anyone in this community listens to podcasts but there's a great one that I listen to called Tudor Talk which is done by a lady called Virginia from Texas. I agreed with most of what they said even though I do quite like this film, despite its liberties with history.

Rather oddly, IMDB lists the Elizabeth: The Golden Age cast as including Jeremy Irons as Leicester & Hugh Dancy as Essex, the same roles they played in the Channel 4 dramatisation on earlier this month.
