I'm not usually much for memes and so on, but when I read this and started thinking about it, I realized that it is 11 years ago this week (January 15) that I lost my best friend to cancer. She was 34. My father's bladder cancer has been in remission for 10 years now. And a friend of mine from work has a brain tumor and the prognosis is not good. She's 52.
