an update of sorts

I’m so far behind in posting here but will try breaking down updates into separate installments. Today’s topic … health. Trust me, it’s best to get this one out of the way first. Then we can move on to travel, home projects, E. coli, dating and all that fun stuff.

Sherry I am so, so sorry to read about all the problems with your sinuses. As a veteran of severe sinus issues, I have an idea of what you've been through. I can't believe nobody found the more serious issues earlier!!!

I've likely mentioned it, so I won't go into detail unless you ask, but I also won't assume anyone else remembers such things, so 'll go ahead and mention it again- I've have several major surgeries on my own sinuses (all of them). Since it sounds like they might end up doing surgery on yours because of what they're seeing on the xrays, please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

I will say that, with your pain tolerance, it's unlikely it will be a major deal to you in terms of pain. My own tolerance is pretty high, too, so the whole deal was always more of a problem in terms of taking time off work/school, dealing with insurance, not being able to drive for a few days, etc.

I know I sound like a broken record, but I am still just so happy to see you back on here! And when I read about your nice weekend, I thought immediately about the HP shirt, and how you had mentioned you have weekends like this sometimes and how nice they sound. :o) I hope you're having a wonderful one!

That HP shirt you sent me? I'm wearing it right now! I also wore it last weekend when I spent Fri/Sat nights with my cousins. Every time I wear it, I think of Kim and you and friendship - and share the story behind the shirt. It's still seeing a continuation of HP fun and friends getting together. Thank you again for entrusting me with Kim's shirt. Friendship is a beautiful legacy to share.

I knew you had sinus issues, too, but didn't know you'd had surgeries for it. Wow, and yes I will have many questions should that be the case for me. Did the surgeries help your situation?

OMG, Sherry, this brought tears to my eyes! I was hesitant to even mention the shirt, because I really didn't want you to feel any pressure about it. As long as you enjoy it I would have been content, but what you've told me... it really has a place in my heart.

The fact that you think of her, and of our wonderful friendship, and share the story with others is so much more than I ever would have asked, and it is an incredible, incredible gift you have given me.

In a related note, I don't recall what it was, but just the other day I thought of how I decorated the box, and you said the UPS guy insisted on bringing it back to your office personally. That memory already had me smiling. :o) It was so fun that you shared that, too, when it happened!

I still miss Kim every day. I try to keep it mostly positive, of course, but sometimes I just regret so much that she's not here to share something. I appreciate you helping me add to the positive side of it! She would like that, too. :o)
