[For Lystra, Agravain and Melou] Growing pains
We'll admit that while Jack dotes on his daughter, he's of the "Go the F*** to Sleep" school of parenting. He's parented one daughter from the nights he walked the floor with her howling on his shoulder, to the day he walked her down the aisle on her wedding day. Can't be too hard to raise another one, now that he knows what to expect?
Doesn't really get any easier, the second time around, and he's likely to be found walking the hallway one midnight. A summer thunderstorm rages outside, Verrity on his shoulder, crying, he trying to soothe her back to sleep with lullabies in three languages (English, very bad phonetic Welsh that would have Ianto giving him a Look, and Standard Boeshanean). Even though he doesn't need to sleep much, he was in need of a snooze before he goes on watch.
"Baby's first thunderstorm," he murmurs, frustrated but able to smirk at it.
