She gladly shakes it.

"Names Eda, pleasure to meet ya Cap'n."

"Oh, the pleasure's all mine," he says, and his hand might linger a bit on hers, the rascal, before he lets it go. "So, you locked and loaded for whatever strange things might be lurking?"

She gladly pulls out her trusty gun. "Never leave home without it..."

"Awwww, yer makin' me jealous. I got dragged here as naked as a mole-rat. Not that I minded the naked part, just the unarmed part," he says, his cheekiness overcoming any jealousy. "Had to make my own bow, but it serves me well."

"Like the Terminator?" Eda asks.

He'll chuckle at that comparison. "Pretty much: good analogy, since I'm almost as tough to keep down, though I assure you, I'm one-hundred percent organic," he says. Not counting the shrapnel he's picked up during various wars during Earth's history, but that doesn't exactly count...

"Thats nice to know.. weird as this place is, I may be workin' with a cyborg." She remarks.

"Nah, I'm a flesh and blood human, though I've dated cyborgs: not bad company, depending on the model of the cybernetic parts," he replies, completely casual about this information. "Except this one guy: I swear they'd used a little too much titanium to replace the parts he'd lost in a space hopper crash."

Eda starts to laugh, until she realizes... he's serious.

"We'll just say I'm from further away and further ahead in time than you can imagine," he says, mysteriously, but serious.
