Whoa.
I posted a request for help locating a Torchwood Jack coat in a comm and in about half an hour not only had replies, but had a link to an ebay auction with one damn close in style and damn close in size that I just shelled out nearly two hundred dollars for.
Why the flying fuck did I do that, says the rational part of my mind.
The slightly less rational part that seems to be on a bit of a manic spree at the moment says "oooo, oooo, we got the jacket, yes we did!"
I'm now planning what on earth I'm going to sell to help make up the cost, here. I have those books from the garage sale... if I can find a used book store that'll buy them off me, that'll help. I have some fur fabric I could sell, that might help. I suppose I could attempt to jettison my Star Wars cards. And maybe I could find someone who wants that brown suit I bought for the Doctor costume I wasn't happy with.
That ought to offset it a little. Ought to get to work on that.
Especially since I still need to obtain the other elements of the costume, which while cheaper, will still add up.
At least I got the flight to Gally for 46 bucks....
