38. Curse on the Land, by Faith Hunter (328 pages)
Nell's life has been thrown into turmoil after Jane Yellowrock rocketed her into the modern world and PsyLED and into accepting her abilities. But her forest is ill--and she needs to find out why before the death overtakes them all. I almost enjoy this series more than the Jane Yellowrock series!
39. Burn Bright, by Patricia Briggs (308 pages)
When an SOS comes in from a lone wolf's fae mate, Charles and Anna arrive to interrupt the abduction of the lone wolf only for the kidnappers to kill her rather than let her live. They need to find the attackers and root out who is threatening the existence of their Pack--and they know it's someone close to home, who knows where the lone wolves are.
40. Tricks for Free, by Seanan McGuire (409 pages)
Antimony is on the run, and the best place to hide is in a crowd--which is how she finds herself at a Florida theme park working as a peon. But tragic events start happening that might be related to her powers, and she garners the attention of a shadow cabal that controls the park, themselves sorcerers, with dark plans of their own. Given little choice but to join them, with the opportunity to possibly learn to control her budding powers, she strives to survive the coming storm. Loving this series!
41. Night and Silence, by Seanan McGuire (368 pages)
Tybalt and Jazz are fragile after their experience in captivity, and October doesn't know how to fix things--especially with Tybalt pulling away from her in ways that devastate her. What she needs least of all is the kidnapping of her daughter, Gillian, or to be accused by her ex-husband of the act. She's forced on a path that will make all of them confront their demons, and will show her how many loose ends she's failed to tie up over the years, with potentially devastating consequences.
42. Club Dead, by Charlaine Harris (292 pages)
When Bill, Sookie's vampire boyfriend, disappears in Mississippi, she's sent after him to discover what has occurred. Her goal is to save him, if at all possible. What she doesn't expect is a betrayal that makes her question everything, and might kill her to-boot!
43. Dead to the World, by Charlaine Harris (291 pages)
Sookie's life is vampire-free with Bill in Peru, until she comes across Eric running down the road on her way home naked and afraid--and suffering amnesia. She needs to find who did this, or things could get rough for the vamp community... and for her, in more ways than one!
44. Dead as a Doornail, by Charlaine Harris (297 pages)
Sookie's brother has changed, a transformation that puts him in danger when a sniper starts to pick off members of the local shifter community and anyone associated with them--which also puts Sookie in their crosshairs.
45. Definitely Dead, by Charlaine Harris (342 pages)
The time has come for Sookie to claim her late cousin's inheritance and put her affairs to rest. It's made more complicated by the fact that her cousin was the lover of the vampire Queen of Louisiana. Turns out, that makes it more dangerous, too, because Hadley had something a lot of people would kill for.

Sookie's presence has been required at the vampire summit. Not only are there complicated vampire politics to contend with, but also a large number of human fanatics who want to destroy all vampires--and anyone who associates with them.

The supernatural community and its politics are about to go through some ugly and difficult upheaval as a result of the events of the last book. This leaves some dead, and Sookie with new connections.
48. Dead and Gone, by Charlaine Harris (320 pages)
The weres and shifters have decided to come out of the closet like vampires have been for years. At first it goes well, but then a were-panther is found dead and mutilated in the bar parking lot on a crucifix. But it turns out there are more than just shifters and vampires out there, and they're throwing their weight around, too. And Sookie might just be caught in the middle.
49. Dead in the Family, by Charlaine Harris (311 pages)
Sookie's dealing with new family, the trials associated with being Eric's lover, and the sudden return of Eric's vampire maker. After what happened with Bill's maker, Sookie's not too excited about the last one. She also has obligations to the Shreveport were pack, all while trying to recover from the events of last book.
50. Dead Reckoning, by Charlaine Harris (325 pages)
When the bar is firebombed while Sookie is working, Sookie and Sam worry it could be a terrorist attack. At the same time, the Shreveport vampires want to get rid of their new master and have decided she needs to be involved.
51. Deadlocked, by Charlaine Harris (327 pages)
When a woman Eric fed off of (to Sookie's disgust) turns up dead on his lawn shortly afterward, she needs to prove him innocent. And, as it turns out, find out who's gunning for her.
52. Dead Ever After, by Charlaine Harris (306 pages)
Sookie is framed for murdering Arlene and somehow has to clear her name. It will take all hands on deck to save her, and of course Eric wants to manipulate things to benefit himself.
53. A Touch of Dead, by Charlaine Harris (192 pages)
An anthology of some of the short stories connected to the Sookie Stackhouse novels. Some I had read before, others were new. They include the true first time Claudine and Claude were introduced.
54. Thief of Lives, by Barb and J.C. Hendee (410 pages)
Magiere would like to think she's done hunting vampires, but Leesil quitely knows better. So when a councilman's daughter is killed in such a way that points toward vampires in far-off Bela, and they learn of the vampire hunter, they send an offer to Miiska for her services. Badly in need of the gold after the events of the last book, the town leaders strong-arm Magiere into agreeing. She, Leesil, and Champ set off, and what awaits them is their destiny.
55. Sister of the Dead, by Barb and J.C. Hendee (405 pages)
Following events in Bela, Magiere comes to realize she needs to learn who she is, and Leesil learns tantelizing hints that his mother may still live. This sets them off first toward her homeland, to find the truth of who she is, accompanied by a young scribe. But that truth is more dangerous and terrifying than they realize.
